Original 1960s mid-century bentwood arm chairs designed by Norman Cherner for Plycraft and nicknamed “the pretzel chair”. One chair retains original Plycraft label on underside, and the other is identical in structure, size, and hardware.

these would make great captain chairs for a dining room table, or can also be used floating in a room as accent chairs.

Condition

Very good vintage condition with age appropriate wear. Both chairs have superficial wear but are structurally sound and have a top coat of polyurethane applied for protection. No current major veneer breaks - each has a veneer repair; one is repairs on the seat and one had a repair on the top back rest in back. The spine and arms are not brittle and can be sat in without concern of breaking.

While the items we offer are in great condition, they may bear traces of their previous life and some signs of use should be expected.
